I am a non-binary community tender, justice-oriented Jew, musician and lover of birds, rivers and plants. I have worked for nearly a decade building nurturing and connective environments for youth and parents in homes, schools, clinics and community settings.
In my own life, I cultivate steady presence, curiosity and compassion in all my relationships, and have developed a deep commitment to sitting alongside others and simply being with what is. Through this practice, I have become adept at bearing loving witness to people’s struggles – their pain, grief, trauma and shadow parts – and shared in celebrations of life, growth, and repair.
Above all, I value connection, honesty, nuance and care. I strive to be responsive to the ways our histories and environments shape our present experience, and am committed to a non-judgmental and accountable stance in my community relationships. I love learning and trying new things, and am continually humbled and inspired by the insights and bravery of my clients.
My path to this field has been meandering, and those gathered experiences shape my approach to counseling and change. After earning an undergraduate degree in politics and environmental studies from Whitman College, I collaborated on regional political campaigns and community projects, offered social-emotional support in elementary schools, and worked as a nanny for several families. From there, I was eager to support collective well-being and cultural repair through (inter)personal healing and change, and sought a master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University. Since graduating from Antioch, I have worked in a community mental health clinic and in public schools, providing care to adolescents, adults, couples and families.
My training has focused on relational systems theories, human development, interpersonal communication dynamics, and the influence of systems of oppression on wellness and recovery. I have additional training in de-escalation, parent coaching, positive discipline, CBT and EMDR. I hold a license in the State of Washington as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a license number 70029997.
